Between Hopes and Threats: New Migratory Birds Records on the Sawala Mandapa Education and Training Forest, Indonesia

Java Island is one of the tropical areas for bird migration, especially Asian-Australian flyway migratory birds. The SMETF protected forest that birds can visit in Java. This research aims to identify SMETF. Transect and point count methods are used observe movements their activities. In area, four were identified: Ficedula zanthopygia, Agropsar sturninus, Pernis ptilorhynchus o., Accipiter soloensis. first second species showed many activities months from October 2020 January 2021, this an indication both using site as a wintering habitat. soloensis dominated by flying “flock” over forest.
